The L Factor is a community for BIPOC sapphic women and friends creating real connections and meaningful experiences in Birmingham and beyond.

Hey, I’m Laura.

Midwest born, Bay Area made, and now putting down roots right here in Birmingham.

As a Black lesbian woman and a transplant to the city, I know firsthand how hard it can be to find spaces where you can genuinely connect, be yourself, and build community. So instead of driving to Atlanta every weekend, I decided to create something right here at home—mainly because I'm tired of driving to ATL.

The L Factor was created for sapphic women looking for more than just a night out. Whether we're grabbing brunch, trying something new, taking a day trip, or stepping outside our comfort zones together, the goal is simple: real connections, good energy, and a community where everybody feels welcome.

This isn't just a meetup group. It's a space to build friendships, create memories, and experience Birmingham in a way that feels authentic, intentional, and fun.
